On the 24th of February 2014, The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in partnership with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs organized a media workshop at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi. The theme of this event was “Reducing child, early and forced marriages in Ghana- The role of Media”. As shared with participants, the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development through the Global Peace and Security Fund is supporting the NCCE’s efforts to reduce child, early and forced marriages in Ghana through public awareness and strengthening civil society advocacy.
The aim is to fester dialogue among government and civil society organizations as well as sensitize and empower key stakeholders.
Interactive meetings with senior media practitioners, broadcasters, managers and editors of both print and electronic media were held.
Present for Anapua FM was veteran broadcast and host of the Morning Show, Sadik Mohammed.
