Asutifi North District Assembly to close down public latrines in bad shapes

The Head of the environmental health department for Asutifi North District, Mr James Oware, has confirmed that soon the District will close all public toilets that are in bad condition.

James Oware explained that letters have been served to all operators to hand over the latrines to the assembly in order to avoid a safety hazard.

He added that the District had called on expert from Sunyani to come and extract all the human waste which is over flowing from the designated sewage.

Oware said it baffled him as why the facility operators who collect money from customers before usage could not maintain their facility in a more hygienic and safe manner.
