GIHOC Distilleries Outdoors Its ‘Chill and Win Promotion
Just Chill and win!!! GIHOC Distilleries, manufacturers of Castle Bridge Gin, Mandingo Bitters, Herb Afrik, Takai Liqueur, Sorento Sweet Vermouth, McFraser Whisky, Meridian Filtered Water, and other quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages has today has launched and exciting new promotion, dubbed ‘Chill and Win’
The 90 days nationwide campaign, seeks to recognize, reward, and encourage the company’s loyal customers whose patronage has brought the company to the level it is now, as was revealed at a media launch on May 8 by Madam Kay Kwao-Simmonds, Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries.
The topmost prize for this promotion is a brand new Hyundai Elantra which would be handed out to the lucky winner in the third and last of the monthly draws. Loyal customers can win other prizes in the form of cash prizes ( for the Brazil World Cup), motorbikes, 40 inch LED TV’s, at the end of each monthly draw.
According to Dela Kwao, an accountant at GIHOC Distilleries, to take part in the promo, one must buy a regular or PET bottle of Mandingo, Herb Afrik, or Castle Bridge. On each bottle, one will find a red sticker with a grey scratch panel. There is a code under the grey panel which must be scratched to unveil a unique code. The code must be texted to 1762 on any mobile network. A text cost 30 pesewas . To increase a person’s chances of winning, he/she is supposed to buy more of the beverages and text as many codes he/she finds to the given short code. It should however be noted that, a code can only be texted once.
‘THE GIHOC CHILL AND WIN PROMOTION’ is only open to people above the age of 18. Mr Kwao advised that; any beverage bought from a retailer which has the grey panel scratched should not be accepted from the seller.According to GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited, the company aspires to be the preferred alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage company. GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited was the first modern distillery to be established in West Africa and it’s presently the only distillery in Ghana. It was established in 1958 as the State Distilleries Corporation for the manufacture of alcoholic beverages. However, in 1968, it became a division of the then Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC). In 1993, GIHOC Distilleries became and still remains a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Ghana.
GIHOC has over the years perfected the art of distillation, refinery and blending, and manufacturing of various types of alcoholic beverages for both local and international market. It is now indisputably recognized as a market leader. GDCL is currently located at Kaneshie North Industrial Area in Accra with factory production (blending and bottling) facilities, administration block, storage warehouse, bottle sorting and washing sheds, garage and workshop, as well as a health post for staff.
