I Will Be Richest Woman In Five Years – Anita Erskine.
Call it a bluff or whatever you want to call it but TV and radio presenter Anita Erskine says she will become one of the richest women in Ghana in the next five years.
It may look too audacious a target, or perhaps a pipe dream by a highly enterprising and confident young woman, but she says her ambition to become wealthy is work in progress without giving clues about how she intends to work her way into Ghana’s rich list.
“Hard work pays and I know why I say in the next five years, I will have a lot of cash in my bank account and become one of the richest women in Ghana. It is everyone’s goal to aim high and I am seriously working towards that,” Anita, who presents Making of a Mogul on DStv, told Showbiz in a n interview.
A multi-talented woman with rich experience in corporate communication, Anita’s entrepreneurial drive and ambition appeared to have been further sharpened by her various media roles which have brought her into close contact with highly successful people since 1997 when she had her first TV encounter with Metro TV.
Through hard work and a strong desire for excellence, Anita has become such a strong and attractive brand which she has leveraged to the point where she could confidently set very high targets and work towards them.
“At the moment I will not say I am rich but very comfortable where I am now but in five years’ time I can call myself a very rich woman,” said the mother of two who speaks passionately about the support of her husband on her journey to the top.
“My husband is my everything. He is my brother, my father, my adviser, my food I eat and everything I think of. I don’t know what I would have done without him.#” Winner of TV Hostess of the Year at the recently held City People Magazine Awards, Anita said she hopes to inspire more women to work their way to the top instead of the demeaning option of selling their bodies.
“I feel so ashamed whenever the issue of prostitution comes up because they have no body to guide them. I have actually started moving from one school to the other to educate young girls on the need to stay focused in life and achieve good things in life,” she sadly said.
