Babies Home in Mampong Receives Donation from Amakye Dede.
Ghanaian highlife artist and legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede has supported the Asante-Mampong Babies Home in the Ashanti region by giving assorted things valued at GH¢15,000.
The things which included baby garments, nourishment things, toiletries and boxes of mineral water as indicated by the artist, is his dowager’s mite towards making conditions at the Home all the more agreeable and comfortable for the youngsters in this month of love and affection.
As indicated by Amakye Dede, he was touched by the predicament of the youngsters and spoke to people, groups and associations to come to the aid of the orphanage. Aside the donation, the highlife artist who faced deadly accident months back, swore to give sleeping beds and basic social courtesies to the orphanage to make a life.
Amakye Dede said he has noticed a few difficulties tormenting the Mampong Babies Home and was endeavoring to give the required backing to them.
He vowed further help to the orphanage, adding that he was pleased to be connected with endeavors at dealing with the socially impeded.
The Mampong Babies Home was built up in 1967 by the Sisters of the Order of the Holy Paraclete, a religious Order of the Anglican Church because of steady demands and supplications, mostly from provincial groups of children who had lost their moms amid delivery at the Mampong Maternity Hospital.
The home, which is the fourth in Ghana began with just four (4) vagrants, however, is at present dealing with more 50 vagrants.
However, assets to keep the Centre running are not expected as administration censure the absence of beds and proper financing to pay the expenses of vagrants who were in school.
Manager at the Mampong Babies’ Home, Madam Margaret Addae dread the facility could fall if humanitarian and corporate association don’t come to their aid.
