Oprah admits to nervous breakdown

Not even Oprah is immune to the pressures of life. The media maven admits in a new “Access Hollywood” interview that she suffered a nervous breakdown last fall. At the time, she was overseeing her then-struggling OWN network and shooting scenes for the movie “The Butler.” She said she recognized the symptoms while interviewing director Jason Russell, who had a running-in-the-streets-naked meltdown earlier that year. “I was sitting and listening to Jason Russell describe his symptoms. … Saying, ‘Um, this sounds pretty familiar to me,’” she told “Access Hollywood” co-host Shaun Robinson. No, Oprah wasn’t running around nude in public, but she was speeding around from project to project as if she were on autopilot. A couple of weeks later, she realized she had to slow things down and get her mental health back on track. We wish her all the best.
