Arsenal in talks with Juventus boss Max Allegri to takeover from Wenger
ARSENAL are in talks with Juventus boss Max Allegri as uncertainty over Arsene Wenger’s future drags on.
SunSport can reveal the Gunners have been in touch with Allegri’s camp in the last seven days to discuss the possibility of the Italian succeeding Wenger.
As we revealed yesterday, Arsenal chiefs are wondering if Wenger should stay on, while the manager’s own failure to state his position is causing tensions.
There is also a feeling the club needs a director of football and former winger Marc Overmars has been touted for the role.
But Wenger is understood to be resistant to such a move.

The unstable situation has forced Arsenal to keep tabs on potential successors and Allegri, 49 is high on their wishlist.
He has won League and Cup doubles in each of his first two seasons at Juve and is on course for more silverware this season.
On Tuesday night, his team thrashed Barcelona 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Sought-after Allegri has been taking English lessons in the last year as he prepares to end his time in Serie A and move to the Premier League.
He was a target for Chelsea as they sought a replacement for Jose Mourinho but eventually lost out to countryman Antonio Conte.
