Asutifi North District Assembly organizes Workshop for Masons

The Asutifi North District Assembly organized a one day workshop for all Masons in Kenyasi under the auspices of the Town Planning Department.

The programme was staged with the aim to educate all masons in Kenyasi No 1 and Kenyasi No 2 to ensure the all structure being temporal or permanent get the valid permit from the Assembly.

The Town Planning Officer for Kenyasi and Hwidiem, Helina Akwah, advised Masons to tell landowners boldly to always seek for the endorsement from the Assembly before raising buildings which is the appropriate thing to do.

She added that Masons should contact the technocrats to ensure that all buildings are properly constructed as the laws says to prevent the demolishing of building.

Helina Akwah disclosed that all building plans must be endorsed by the Assembly and again there should be inspection at the grounds before Masons construct any structure.” The process is so simple so masons should not find it difficult to access it as well as landowners ” said Helina Akwah, Town Planning Officer for Kenyasi and Hwidiem.

The workshop which was well attended was staged at the conference hall of the Assembly
