Asutifi North Masons form Association
The Acting President of Asutifi Construction Association has today confirmed that Masons in the Asutifi North District in the Brong Ahafo region have formed an Association.
In an exclusive interview with Sammy Asare, the Acting President of the association, Edusah Yakubu said the association is formed to seek the welfare of Masons in the District since most of them are unable to secure proper contract in the district.
Edusah Yakubu narrated, most contracts from the Assembly are generally given to outsiders simply because the Masons in district do not have the valid certificates to secure contracts from the government as the laws demands. As such the association will help members to have the required paperwork to enable them potentially win such contracts.
According to him, adequate education would be given to members from time to time to assist them in competing for contracts and also for them to acquire further qualifications.
He added that the Asutifi North District Assembly is aware of the new Association and it has pledged to support the Association.
Currently the association has 20 members and registration is on going. The Acting President appealed to all masons to be part of it for their own benefit. The newly created Association has met the Assembly once in a meeting dubbed ” Building permit and safety”
