Ayew brothers involved as Marseille woes continue
Brothers Andre and Jordan Ayew were involved as their side Marseille lost 2-3 at home to Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1.
Andre Ayew started and played the entire duration of the game, whilst younger brother Jordan came on in the 75th minute for Souleymane Diawara.
Mads Albak, Paul Oniangue and Floyd Ayite were the scorers for Reims, who had gone four games witout a win. The Marseille duo of Florian Thauvin and substitute Andre Gignac got the home side’s share of the five goals on day.
Marseille suffered their third consecutive loss in the league, as well as fifth loss on the trot in all competitions.
Between them, the Ayew brothers have made 19 appearances for Marseille this season (10 for Andre, nine for Jordan). Jordan, who scored seven league goals last season, is yet to find the back of the net, but Andre already has two goals to his credit.
