COBANA Donates Beds To Sunyani Regional Hospital
The Conference of Brong-Ahafo Association of North America (COBANA), an umbrella organisation representing Brong-Ahafo citizen’s resident in North America, has presented eight functional beds to the Regional Hospital in Sunyani.
The total cost of the beds, accompanied with a mattress each, is $80,000 dollars.
Mr Darko Poku and Mrs Margaret Amponsah, COBANA members made the presentation on behalf of the association yesterday.
Mr Poku explained that, established in 2009, COBANA is poised to promote quality health care delivery in the region.
He said it intends to fund and provide equipment for the establishment of a blood bank at the hospital.
Mr Poku entreated management of the hospital not to hesitate to contact the association for any assistance.
Dr Jacob Abebrese, Medical Superintendent at the hospital thanked the donors for the gesture and appealed for more of such items.
He said the hospital cherish its relationship with COBANA and expressed optimism that it would be strengthened in the coming years for the mutual benefit.
Dr Abebrese appealed to other public-spirited organisations and individuals to contribute their quota in promoting quality health care delivery in the region.
