Criticism against gov’t performance is unfair – Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama has described as unfair, the incessant public criticism against the performance of his government.
The President defending himself and his government said the evidence of development in Ghana will take time to fully manifest.
Speaking at a ceremony to launch the plan for the construction of 50 new Senior High Schools (SHS) nationwide at Ofaakor in the Central Region, the President stated that he was extremely confident his government would pick up momentum to deliver.
“We all know that a vehicle does not move fast when it is on first gear rather the speed increases as you change the gears.
“Whenever you are undertaking a venture or beginning a new journey, there are always difficulties to be encounted,” said the President.
The President however assured his critics that “with time they will see what he as well his government is doing.”
The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) manifesto as part of it’s priority projects is to be executed within four years would construct 200 SHS, a total of 50 SHSs every year to achieve the 200 SHSs by 2016.
