Eddie Addo wins this year’s Republic Day Open Golf Championship.

Eddie Addo returned a net score of 72, to win this year’s Republic Day Open Golf Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Wednesday,

Patrick Gyasi came second with 75 net, beating The Reverend Amezando on count-back.

In the Group ‘B’; Segment, Matthias Dorfe came fist with 69 net, Ben Bath took the second position with 70 net while Geoffrey Coffie placed third with 71 net.

In the Ladies encounter, Vicky Murray came fist with 73 net, while Esther Amedzro placed second with 75 net, beating Aku Yaba on count-back.

The one-day 18-Hole Medal Play which attracted about 80 golfers, was sponsored by Atlantic Catering and Logistics Limited.

Mr Mike Aggrey, Vice President of the Achimota Golf Club commended the company for the sponsorship and asked other corporate bodies to help develop the sport.

Mrs Maud Lindsay-Gamrat, Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Catering and Logistics Limited said the company would always strive for excellence.

She gave the assurance that her outfit would continue to contribute towards the development of the sport.
