Eden Hazard reveals make or break reason for possible Chelsea move
Eden Hazard has given his strongest suggestion yet that he would reject Real Madrid by claiming that his children are ‘very settled’ in London.
The Chelsea forward is reportedly one of Madrid’s priority transfer targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
But the Premier League leaders are believed to be ready to offer the Belgian a new contract worth £300,000 a week, which would make him the division’s highest earner.
When asked where he would like to live after he ends his playing career, Hazard suggested to Chelsea’s official website that he sees his long-term future in London: ‘Maybe I will live in Belgium, to be close to the family, or else I could go somewhere with nice weather.
‘My kids are very settled in London so it could be here, that’s a long way off yet so we will see.’
Hazard, who speaks English and French, also admitted he would like to learn Chinese or Japanese.
‘I’d like to learn the Chinese or Japanese languages because they’re completely different to anything else,’ he said.
‘It would be good to understand them.
