Half naked woman falls out of burning building

A WOMAN, 47, dressed only in her underwear miraculously survived a fall from a burning third-floor flat after quick-thinking people below broke her fall with a blanket.

Amazing footage of the rescue shows the unnamed woman hanging by her fingers from the building’s window ledge as smoke perilously billows from the property in Cedeira, Spain.

Losing her grip, she starts to fall rapidly and painfully glances off the building’s surface before landing on the awaiting blankets below.

Onlookers make a great commotion as she tumbles, before breaking out in celebration as she reaches the ground safely.

The clip then shows her being helped back onto her feet in a bra and pants, as the heroes who broke her fall cover her in the blanket to protect her modesty.

The woman’s husband had been with her in the apartment before the fire broke out, but decided to take the couple’s dogs for a walk, evading the deadly smoke.

Upon his return, he helped organise the rescue blankets which saved his wife’s life.

Firemen present at the incident said that though the blaze itself was relatively small, it produced a significant amount of smoke with made it nearly impossible for the woman to breathe in the flat.

According to emergency services, the fire was sparked when a fuse box caught fire in the block of flats.

The woman was swiftly taken to hospital for a check-up following the incident, and released shortly after when she was given the all-clear by doctors.

Pablo Moredo, the mayor of Cedeira, has since given his thanks to the proactive neighbours and emergency services for the role they played in saving the woman’s life
