Hearts of Oak parts ways with David Duncan
Former Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have mutually agreed to part ways with head coach David Duncan; footy-ghana.com gathers.
According to our sources, both parties arrived at a consensus that parting ways was the best move in the interest of the club.
When contacted, sources close to the management declined to assign reasons for the parting of ways, but footy-ghana.com has learnt that assistant coach Ben Adjei will take temporary charge until a substantive replacement if found.
Duncan took charge of Hearts of Oak before the end of the first round and he is credited with the resurgence in the club’s fortunes since then.
Hearts of Oak currently lies joint second on the league log; four points behind arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
The club has since issued a press statement on the matter on Friday afternoon. Below is the full text of the Press Release.
