Improving Local Governance Accountability Mechanisms (ILGAM) has began the ” Train A Trainer ” initiative for community monitors at Ahafo Kenyasi.
Over 30 persons from various communities in the district attended the programme held at the Education Assembly hall.
An Executive of ILGAM cum SMAid, Gilbert Asante, said, the purpose of the “Train A Trainer” is to educate the residents so they can understand the work-plan of the assembly in terms of undertaking projects and to question the assembly as well if they are clear on issues related to projects.
He explained, the people who showed up are to go back to their respective communities to train others so all will understand the assembly’s intention in line with projects this why the name is ” Train A Trainer”.
He disclosed that per the questions and contributions made by the participants, things went well as expected and he believes they will do good job for the assembly.
Gilbert Asante added, the mode of selecting the over 30 people was done by the Traditional Heads of the communities so it shows clearly how all have endorsed the ILGAM initiative.
