I’m very fortunate to be playing Pusher’s role- Drogda [Yolo]
The Coming of Ghana Television Series “YoLo” has shown everybody that the youth in Ghana and teenagers in this instance are very talented and if Producers are to focus on them, then in the next few years our industry will match the likes of Hollywood, Nollywood and others. The sort of talents in Yolo will make it easier for you to choose “Yolo” ahead of “Things We Do For Love”, but to J.B. Peasah a.k.a Drogba, The difference isn’t obvious.
“Between “Things we do for love” and “Yolo” I can’t choose which one is best because they both commune the same message. The only thing I can say is, “Things We Do For Love” had casts who I will describe as young adults so there were issues they didn’t elaborate on like we do in “Yolo”. – leaving questions about abortion and life of teenagers after every episode”
J.B. Peasah a.k.a Drogba in a short interview with Kwaku B – “de perfect gentleman” on Anapua fm, disclosed that Pusher is his Role Model and that he is very fortunate to be playing his role.
“I will say he is my role model in a way because the character Pusher in “Things We Do For Love” is totally different from the real life Adjetey Annan when you meet him in person. When it comes to the bad guy role he will do it perfectly and the good role is just easy as his real life. I wouldn’t say that’s what I am trying to do but just that am so fortunate to be playing his role. Besides, I also happen to be like him in real life – I don’t look for trouble and trouble can’t find me since I am always at my Conner”
He concluded his interview by making it clear to his fans that the character Drogba in “Yolo” is purely fictitious and not his real character.
“My role in Yolo is not my real life character. Naturally, I am very shy and even when I was in school you wouldn’t see me attending entertainment or getting involved in most public gathering. Friends are even surprised at what I do in ‘Yolo’.
But I think what has helped me most is , when I was on campus I was with one production company where mostly they gave me bad guy and ghetto roles. I rehearsed for about a year without being on set which I think has contributed a lot to my career today.”
“YoLo” is the continuation of “things we do for love” produced by FarmHouse Production with National Population Council, Ghana Education service, Ghana Health Service, and National Youth Authority-Ghana being partners and founded by UKAID – Facilitated by Palladium Group.
