John Boye eyes Rennes exit
Black Stars defender, John Boye, says he intends to leave Rennes for a “bigger club” after his contract with the French side expires.
Accordingly, he plans to use the Brazil 2014 World Cup to market himself.
I have a personal ambition as an individual and that is to change my club,” Boye, who is just returning from injury, told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
“I have always had the dream to move to a bigger club after my contract with Stade Rennes so the World Cup in Brazil gives me the opportunity to showcase what I have to the rest of the world.”
The former Hearts of Lions defender was a regular in the Black Stars set-up during the qualifying campaign until an injury ruled him out of the two-legged play-off against Egypt.
