Juventus Set Club Record Winning Run After Beating Cagliari
Juventus have extended their their winning run in Italy’s Serie A to a club-record eleven games in a row.
The Bianconeri thrashed Cagliari 4-1 away from home yesterday to continue their impressive streak of victories and sit on top of the Serie A table and eight points clear of second-placed Roma.
Despite falling behind in the match, Cagliari could not survive a Juventus onslaught as the visitors hit four goals.
The Bianconeri are now firmly in the driving seat in the Serie A title race with 52 points from 19 games and on course to retain their Italian crown.
Juventus’ previous record winning run sat at ten matches in a row, won in the 1931/32 campaign.
Next up for the Bianconeri is a visit from Sampdoria on 18th January, followed by a trip to the Italian capital to face Lazio the week after.
