Kwesi Arthur Misses Out On BET’s Best International Act
GNA – Kwesi Arthur, a Ghanaian Hip-Pop rapper missed out on the 2018 edition of Black Entertainment Television (BET) New International Act, ‘viewers’ choice award yesterday at the Los Angeles in the United States of America in the Microsoft Centre.
The hip-pop sensation couldn’t garner enough votes as South Africa’s Sjava was adjudged winner of the category, which saw the likes of Mc Soffia Prince Waly (France),Take A Mic (France), Niniola (Nigeria), Sik-K (South Korea), Nailah Blackman (Trinidad And Tobago), Not3s (UK) and Iamddb (UK) all nominated for the award.
After the announcement, Kwesi Arthur took to twitter and expressed his thought after missing out, he wrote: ”How can I lose when I came from nothing”.
The Ghanaian rapper who won the Song of the Year Awards in this year’s 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, is the second Ghanaian artiste to be nominated for that category after MzVee was nominated for that award in 2015.
Meanwhile, popular Nigerian artiste, Davido won the main “Best International Act” Category.
