Mahama appoints Koku as his national security aide
XYZ News has gathered that former Communications Director at the Presidency in the Mills administration, Koku Anyidoho, has been appointed as the President’s special aide with national security.
President John Mahama’s appointment of Mr Anyidoho comes barely 24 hours after he appointed former BBC Presenter Ben Dotsei Malor as Head of Communications at the Presidency as well as his Communications Adviser.
Mr Anyidoho has been operating with the National Security since President John Mills died. This led to speculations of no love lost between President Mahama and Mills’ former Communications Director.
XYZ News sources who confirmed Mr Anyidoho’s appointment say the move by President Mahama will put to rest rumours of frosty relations between the two Politicians.
With his new appointment, Mr Anyidoho, who was seen as the righthand man of the late President Mills, is expected to be working closely with President Mahama at the Flagstaff house.
Sources close to the Flagstaff House told XYZ News that Mr Anyidoho is expected to bring his experience gathered under the Mills administration to bear.
