Mahama inaugurates Fufulsu road; urges drivers not to fly their cars.
This he says will support the country’s transformational agenda.
The President was speaking when he joined the chiefs and people of the Larabanga in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region to inaugurate the Fu-ful-su/Sawla road.
President Mahama cautioned motorists to avoid driving recklessly.
“The minute we engineer the road and the road is in good condition then drivers think it is an aeroplane run way and so they want to take off and fly into the air and invariably accidents happen and people die.
“It is not acceptable that a positive development like the provision of good roads should lead to loss of lives and that is why i always caution drivers that we build those roads not for you to kill our citizens but in order that you can have a smooth passage on the road,” the president said.
The road was constructed together with other auxiliary social facilities, such as clinics, markets, a water and sanitation project.
