MTN FA Cup: Kotoko, Medeama, Chelsea advance
Kotoko qualified for the fourth round of the Ghana FA Cup after swatting First Klass FC 3-0 in Kumasi.
Berekum Chelsea also progressed to the round of 16 after going past UCC Youngsters 1-0 in Cape Coast. Medeama also beat Pure Joy FC 2-0 in Tarkwa.
At the Baba Yara Stadium was the venue for Issah Yakubu to put the Reds ahead just half-time, before Isaac Boakye – Kotoko’s new signing – made it sure.
Aminu Mohammed sealed the deal with a third later in the game.
This will be good preps for Kotoko as the play in the CAF Champions League first qualifying round next week with Liberia’s Barrack Young Controllers.
That game will be in a week.
