I pledge total security – Asutifi South DCE
Honourable (Hon) Dwomoh Mensah Robert , the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi South District, has pledged to ensure the best security in his district.
Speaking at the first General Assembly Meeting at Hwidiem in the Brong Ahafo region, Hon. Dwomoh Mensah said there are series of measures put in place to grant the people in the District a safe and free environment to engage in their daily activities.
He explained that in no way would he interfere with the activities of the police in cases of arrest.He added that he would at no time request to “speak” to the police to cause the release of someone who is at fault.
Again he stated that Community watch dogs were undergoing training in all the towns in the District to to support the police and the Assembly and that he was ready to provide them with gadgets to make their work fruitful.
The DCE said police stations would be established in towns which need them urgently to mitigate criminal actions especially in places where galamsey was engaged.
He went on to highlight the challenges the police faced in manning checkpoint during the rainy seasons especially and stated that the Assembly was preparing to build suitable structures to alleviate this hardship.
He added that the police would be given total support to ensure that all towns in the District have absolute security to aid in development.
The General Assembly Meeting was attend by traditional councils, institutions, Assembymen and the general Media.
