Signs that your partner is cheating on you- from the experts

FINDING out your partner has cheated is devastating and inevitably leaves you desperately wondering how you didn’t suss out they were up to no good.

But according to Reddit users whose partners have done the dirty, there are some telltale signs to look out for.

Men and women have taken to one of the site’s forums to share common signs of infidelity after their unfortunate experiences.

And some of them are surprisingly devious.

Redditors pointed out guilty partners may accuse their other half of being the unfaithful one to hide their own infidelity.

One wrote: “Every relationship I had that ended because I found out they were cheating had one common denominator: They frequently accused me of cheating.”

Another admitted: “I used to be a chronic cheater, and you definitely become paranoid about the one you’re cheating on doing the same as you. It’s easy to not get caught and you start worrying that they could just as easily do it back to you.”

Other users suggested that love cheats become aggressive about the idea of cheating, while them being vague about where they’ve been is also a cause for concern.

One said that “long periods of time in which you cannot account for their whereabouts” is a giveaway, adding: “When they do tell you where they have been, they tell you a detailed story, in which they progressively fill in the details because it is a lie. Sad!”

When it comes to their behaviour at home, Redditors flagged showering at strange times of the day – even when they haven’t been to the gym – and taking late night phone calls.

Shockingly, one woman told how she once received a wedding invitation from her partner’s fiancée.

She explained: “That was not only a clear-cut sign he was cheating, but that I was the other woman and in second place.”

Others told how people having an affair are likely to talk about another woman or man constantly and go so far as “putting them before you”.

Another tell-tale sign is apparently having unsaved numbers in their phone.

One Redditor wrote: “My high school boyfriend never saved phone numbers into his phone. He claimed he was just ‘too lazy’. Turns out the unsaved numbers belonged to his many, many side girls.”
