Six NSS personnel die in Brong-Ahafo

GNA – Six personnel of the National Service Scheme in Brong-Ahafo died last year while they served the nation at their various post, Mr Mark Nii Abbey, the Regional Director of the Scheme has announced.

He said the deceased were stationed at five districts in the region – Tano South, Asutifi North, Kintanpo North, Sunyani West and Nkoranza South districts.

Mr Abbey gave the saddened announcement when he addressed the first general meeting of the Sunyani Municipal branch of the scheme in Sunyani which elected new executives.

He expressed the scheme’s condolences to the bereaved families, and urged personnel to avoid unhealthy lifestyle and remain committed to duty.

Mr Wisdom Tuah engaged at the Sunyani Municipal Assembly was elected as President, Ms Rebecca Mwinfaug, Vice-president, and Ms Mariam Abdolai, Women Commissioner.

Miss Pamela Oye Ansah was elected as the General Secretary, Mr Christian Oppong, Financial Secretary, and Mr Dabo Mohammed Kelani, Organiser.
