Six students of the Nyaneba Health Assistant Training School in Tema have been seriously burnt in a gas explosion Tuesday morning.
Three of them are in critical condition and have been rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching hospital while the three others are on admission at the Tema General Hospital.
The Chief fire officer for the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, William Abeka Blankson who confirmed the incident to XYZ News said the explosion was sparked by a gas leakage from the gas cylinder the students were using to cook in their hostel.
He said an investigation has been launched into the explosion.
