Tupac Shakur nominated to R&R Hall of Fame

Nominees for induction into the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame include Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Depeche Mode and a slew of first-time nominees, the Hall announced Tuesday.

Other artists up for the honor include Yes, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, Journey, the Cars, the Zombies, Rolling Stone magazine reported.

Other hopefuls include Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, J. Geils Band, Joan Baez, Joe Tex, Kraftwerk, MC5 and Steppenwolf.

Fans can vote along with roughly 800 artists, music industry insiders and historians on which musicians should be inducted from now until Dec.6.

Winners will be announced in December and presented at a ceremony at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in April.
