Two Assembly Members Defraud Fishmongers

Reports from the Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olivia Turkson indicate that the Tema Police Command has begun investigations into allegations that two members of the Tema municipal Assembly have defrauded some fishmongers of monies running into thousands of cedis.

Citi FM reported earlier today that according to the frozen fish sellers at the Tema fishing harbor, in a bid to secure a parcel of land to site their refrigerated containers, they paid the huge sums of money to the two assembly men.
The Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer ASP Olivia Turkson who confirmed the incident in an interview with Citi News said they have begun investigations into the matter.

ASP Olivia Turkson, she can’t confirm the amount being alleged because the women claim there are other victims who have suffered the same fate.
