You are living our dream – Yvonne Okoro congratulates Abraham Attah
Actress Yvonne Okoro has confessed that young Ghanaian actor Abraham Attah is living the dream she and other actors have been yearning several years now.
The actress acknowledged that while they are not in a position to do that now, they are equally also living that dream through Abraham.
The 15-year-old ‘Beasts of No Nation’ star was among the numerous award presenters at the 88th Academy Awards (Oscars) at the Dolby Theatre Sunday.
Abraham Attah’s acting prowess has grabbed worldwide attention following his impressive role in the Netflix movie, ‘Beast of No Nation’ starring alongside Idris Elba.
Yvonne Okoro in a post on Instagram thanked Abraham for making Ghana and Africa proud at this year’s Oscars.
She wrote, “You have made Ghana and Africa proud,” and admitted that the young actor is “living a dream we all wish we could live..being recognised n respected for a craft..txs 4 letting us live tht dream thru u and knowing nw it’s more than possible for all of us#abrahamattah#proudlyafrican”
Prior to presenting at the Oscars, Abraham Attah had won the ‘Best Male Lead’ award at the 2016 Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night
The award is Abraham’s third major award after starring in the Netflix movie. He had won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival 2015.
Attah also bagged the award for ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Black Film Critics Circle (BFCC).
The young actor is already preparing to star in his second major movie ‘The Modern Ocean’, an adventure drama, alongside some Hollywood actors including Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves and Daniel Radcliffe.
