Zenith Bank worker shot dead
Another bank worker has been killed in his home under bizarre circumstances.
The 35 year old branch Manager of the Zenith Bank at Akosombo, Kwesi Sekyi Prah was shot dead by unidentified gunmen Monday dawn.
This comes after the murder of a Stanbic Bank worker in Accra barely a month ago.
A family member of the deceased, who confirmed the incident to Citi News, said Mr. Sekyi Prah was shot by gunmen at about 2am in his house.
According to him the attackers did not take anything from the house. He said the banker’s wife and two children have been left in a trauma.
Giving the details of how the incident happened, ASP Olivia Turkson said “the guys broke the entrance door to the deceased main house, climbed the stairs and went to the caretaker’s room.”
ASP Turkson further stated that the guys after breaking into the house, ordered the caretaker to take them to the room.
She however noted that before the caretaker could respond, the guys broke the opposite door, that is where the deceased and the wife were, went straight into the room, shot the man and left.
“Someone hinted the police patrol team and met the victim in a state of unconsciousness. They rushed him to the Tema General Hospital but died shortly,” ASP Turkson added.
