21 year old Ghanaian, Julie Asamoah wins Face of Africa Germany
When it comes to beauty pageant, trust Ghanaians to win because our intelligent level is very high. 21 year old Ghanaian model Julie Asamoah has been crown the new Face of Africa Germany.
The event which started with 180 models was cut down to 20 contestants which saw the Ghanaian young and brilliant model taking the first place.
Julie’s manager, Francis Frimpong Manso also known as Nkosuohene in an interview with ZionFelix.com about her artiste’s win expressed joy and thanked all Ghanaians based in Germany for the enormous support for the lady who was crowned the new Face Of Africa Germany on April 4 .
In a separate report by Desmond John Beddy of topafric.com, Face of Africa Germany, which took place in Berlin, showcased the uniqueness of Africa to the world. The program that originally started with 180 African beauty queens came to an end with 20 girls making it to the finals.
The pageant competition was designed to discover young ladies with talents in modeling of African descent. The highly attended beauty parade saw 21 year old Julie Asamoah from Ghana emerging the overall winner.
Eunice Miano and Hellan Opodi both from Kenya were crowned first and second runner up respectively. The program was a huge success by all standards. The 28 year old model trainer, Ernest O. Look and his dedicated team put up a stunning performance. Ethiopian Airline is flying the winner to South Africa, while the South African Embassy in Berlin is taking care of the cost.
There were several artists that performed at the event, the South African group stood tall amongst them.
About 8 African Ambassadors in Berlin came to give their moral support, the special guest of honor was the football star Gerald Asamoah and his wife Linda Asamoah, she was one of the judge as well as a patron to the project. Also on the panel were Dr. Susan Enjema Aweh (SEA) and the George Andreas Suhr.
Like most beauty pageants, the crowd had their own favourites, though they agreed to some extent to the winner and second runner up, who had unique heights. Most however, disagreed to the first runner up, they argued she was not tall enough. Interestingly she performed better in answering her question and her speech was not bad.
As much as we desire for the second season of Face of Africa Germany, we would want to encourage the organizers to work on their time structure despite scoring high marks on the following: attendance was perfect, moderation was good; crowd conduct was excellent, after show party was a blast and the young ladies did the catwalk immaculately.
