Friday, December 5 is National Farmers Day and a public holiday but while many folks take it easy on the day, energetic gospel singer, Cecilia Marfo would be hard at work to win souls for the kingdom of Christ at this year’s Women in Worship Concert.
The woman known for hits like Afunum Ba and Mammire Angu would be the main attraction at the annual concert slated for 2.30pm at the Osu Presbyterian Hall in Accra.
Dubbed ‘Fruit of Our Lips Concert,’ other acts expected to minister and sing at the function include Becky Bonnie, Effiya Ebota, CEM Worship Family, Praise Box, Action Chapel International (ACI) Singers and choirs from four Senior High Schools.
Theme for the upcoming concert is: ‘My Heart Is Fixed, Oh Lord, My Heart Is Fixed’ (Psalm 57:7).
Starting her singing career on a lowly note in Kumasi, Cecilia has matured into a powerful singer praised for her touching worship pieces.
Women in Worship is an Accra-based non-denominational Christian organisation. It has, since December 2006, been holding a free annual worship concert where female gospel artistes lead audiences in mass worship.
