Danny Nettey celebrated at ‘Celebration of Faithfulness’ concert.
Gospel music great, Danny Nettey, has been celebrated and honoured for his immense contribution to the development and growth of gospel music in Ghana.
The musician, who has been in gospel ministry for the past three decades, was honoured at a special concert dubbed ‘Celebration of Faithfulness’ at the National Theatre on Sunday.
The event, put together by KC Entertainment, in collaboration with Footprint TV, witnessed impressive performances from some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music.
Some notable gospel musicians, who have been greatly influenced by Danny Nettey’s ministry, took turns to entertain the hundreds who thronged the National Theatre for the concert.
Artistes, including Cwesi Oteng, Nii Okai, Joe Mettle, Ike Nanor, Eugene Zuta and Pastor Josh Laryea, performed to honour a man who has inspired their careers greatly.
Minister Danny Nettey, as he is affectionately called, has five albums to his credit in a 30-year-ministry and has written over 500 songs. He is also a major songwriter for some top gospel artistes in Ghana and elsewhere.
With his music flowing abundantly at the packed concert, the man of the day, Danny Nettey, could not be left out of the party. He performed to the delight of all.
The high point of the concert was, an auction sale of a painting of Danny Nettey that was bought for GHc10,000.
Minister Danny Nettey, who is also the host of Worship Zone on Joy FM, was presented with a citation and a two-week-fully paid trip to Florida, USA.
His family members also joined him to cut an anniversary cake on stage.
