Asamoah Gyan Happy to Have Met Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Multiple award-winning dancehall musicians, Emmanuel Andrew Samini, known in show business as Samini has revealed that he is inspired to contest the highest seat of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) at the next elections.
The CEO of High Grade Family Record label said on Adom Entertainment Hall that the incumbent MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kufour aka Obour has encouraged many young artistes, including himself to vie for the presidency of the union.
“I believe Obour’s four years administration has done well for the Union. Based on the inspiration I get from the young man’s work, I think the presidency is not too far from the young ones like me,” he said.
His comments come after Obuor emerged the landslide winner in the MUSIGA presidential race last weekend at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
Obuor pulled a whopping 88 votes, representing 70% of all valid votes, in a fiercely contested race that saw Simigwa star Gyedu Blay Ambolley win 22 votes, and record producer Apeatus win only 18 votes.
His victory means he will remain the MUSIGA president for another four years.
Samini was not one of the 150 delegates who voted this year, but he said he was not surprised Obour won the election overwhelmingly because Obuor’s achievements are there for all to see.

Ghana’s striker, Asamoah Gyan has revealed he enjoys a ‘very good’ relationship with his club manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Gyan reunited with Swedish trainer earlier this year with his headline move to Chinese big-spenders Shanghai SIPG.
The move for Gyan was driven at the instance of Eriksson who Gyan claims tried to sign him earlier on in his career for Manchester City.
Both figures have now been presented with the chance to knock rivals Guangzhou Evergrande off their perch in Chinese football next season while they make a debut campaign on the Asian Champions League.
The Black Stars captain says he enjoys working under Eriksson who he regards as one of the best coaches in the world.
“I will say he has been a great fan since day one so he knows my capabilities and everything, therefore our relationship has been very good,” Gyan revealed.
“Talking about experience, he is one of the best, he has coached one of the best teams in the world and he has coached one of the best national teams in the world.
“So the experience is there but talking about relationship, he’s very good.
“It’s like a father and son relationship He tries to understand what the players want and he adds his experience to it and he delivers on the pitch which is a good thing.”

A testimony that as a people, if we refuse to curse God in difficult times but rather chose to bless him, then indeed we shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord just as the Psalmist predicted.
