James Harden opens up about dating Khloé Kardashian: ‘I wasn’t getting anything out of it
James Harden is keeping away from the Kardashians.
The NBA star spoke to Sports Illustrated about what it was like to date Khloé Kardashian and the tabloid attention that came with. The NBA star felt the constant coverage was “unnecessary stuff” that trickled down to his teammates.
“I don’t like all the attention,” Harden said. “I feel like it was for no reason. I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that.”
Harden dated Kardashian for eight months starting in June 2015 before the two split in February 2016. Kardashian has now moved on to a another NBA player, Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson.
Harden has since moved back to focusing on his NBA career.
Harden is one of the MVP candidates this season, averaging 28.8 points per game with a league-leading 11.3 assists for the Rockets.
“I’m not worried about anything but hooping,” Harden told Sports Illustrated. “And that may be why I’m having this kind of success.”
The Rockets currently sit at the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a record of 42-19. Harden has been accounting for just less than half of Houston’s offense this season.
Sounds like the break-up worked out for both sides.
