On Tuesday, rapper Mystikal (born Michael Lawrence Tyler) was slapped with indictment charges on first-degree rape and second degree kidnapping in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, after being connected to a 2016 assault in a Shreveport casino.
According to KSLA News, the 46-year-old star is one of three people who were allegedly involved in the assault in October 2016. Last month, the embattled rapper turned himself in to authorities. There, he was arrested and charged. When he went to surrender, KSLA reporters were onsite and questioned what he was doing at the Caddo Correctional Center. He responded: “to get this business reconciled, get this behind me, man.”
In addition to being indicted, Mystikal’s bond was set at $3 million. Averweone Darnell Holman, 26, and Tenichia Monieck Wafford, 42, were also indicted on Tuesday. Holman received a similar ruling as Mystikal and has a $3 million bail. As for Wafford, she was pinned with one count of obstruction of justice. Her bond is set at $500,000.
In 2004, Mystikal was sentenced to six years in jail after pleading guilty to sexual battery.
