Kwakuri gets new school building
A three classroom block comprising of an ICT room , Staff room and Headmistress office at Kwakuri in the Asutifi North District has been commissioned today by the District Chief Executive, Honourable Anthony Mensah.
The DCE who handed the keys to the District Education Director thanked the contractor for the excellent work and appealed to the chief, head teacher, teachers and pupils to take good care of the school.
The Director of Education thanked the assembly and promised to handle the structure as directed and appealed to the assembly to provide computers to the pupils since the school as compared to others in the District currently did not have any.
The Headmistress of the Basic school, Dorcas Oteng Akomah thanked the assembly and said it would go a long way to help the pupils as they had literally been learning under trees all this time. She also told reiterated the other speakers appeal to the assembly to also provide the shool with computers.
The Chief of Kwakuri, Nana Kwabena Agyapong added his voice by thanking all stakeholders of the school and urged the pupils to take advantage of the new structure.
The new JHS building came into being after the old one was brought down by heavy rains.
