Newmont Ahafo donates health equipment to two Nursing Colleges

Newmont Gold Ghana Limited (NGGL) in Ahafo has today presented health items worth over 100,000 cedis to two nursing colleges in Ahafo.

The equipment given to Ntotroso College of Nursing and Yamfo College of Nursing include electric beds, wheel chairs, blood bank fridges, sterilizers and many more.

The purpose of the donation is to enable nursing students in remote areas be abreast with the various health equipment and their appropriate usage. It would also help facilitate the practical aspect of their training along with the theory knowledge.

According to the authorities of the schools, they approached Newmont Ghana for assistance and the mining company agreed to assist.

They used the event to launch an appeal to other firms to come to the aid of health schools in the area as well.
