David Oscar Rain Of Successes
David Oscar has carved a niche for himself as he constantly proves that he is the son Ghana should watch out for and be proud of. David started up as a contestant on a music and comedy talent hunt after which he did a couple of commercials and struck prime time gold with his critically acclaimed sitcom ‘Laugh a Minute’. Since then he has chalked one milestone of success after the other in acute order as he was the first Ghanaian to perform on Mnet’s Comedy Club.
H e wrote his name in gold on the altars of Ghana’s cinema landscape when he played a lead role in Sparrow Production’s ‘Peep’ series. He went on to playing a role in an episode of Adam’s Apples which aired on Mnet Africa. He wasnt finished. He was called by Mnet to star in the Original Mnet’s ‘Tenant’ directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso. this made David the only actor who has been feature in three series running concurrently on Mnet within the same period. David’s critics were muffled when ace comedian, Kweku Sintim Minsa (KSM) endorsed on a television interview on the Delay Show and once admitted to picking a few nuggets from David’s routines.
This endorsement was followed by another by Shirley Frimpong Manso during an interview on a DSTV show. she stated David as the funniest character in the ‘Tenant’ which was in fact a comic. David has also given comedians a stage with the nations wide touring ‘Corporate Comedy series’ event which flies start-up comedians alongside established ones around the country to hold comedy events.David has also recently inked a contract with SAB miller/ABL to be the ambassador for Castle Milk stout. with all these successes chalked David still states that he ‘hasnt started anything yet’. with this rate of success David can only be compared to KSM and Steve Harvey who have both hit it big as comedians in movies, on stage and as entrepreneurs. He is a man to watch out for, the future of entertainment in Ghana.
