REVEALED: Why KSM Changed ‘TGIF’ Show To The ‘The KSM Show’
Weeks after popular television show ‘Thank God Is Friday’ went off Metro TV, the show is back on same channel but this time under a new name, ‘The KSM Show’. Several questions have been raised as to why the show’s name has been changed from the popular ‘Thank God Is Friday’ to ‘The KSM Show’ and in explaining the reason for the new name, Kwaku Sintim-Misa a.k.a ‘KSM’ stated in an interview with Bra Chef on Radio Univers that the change of name was for the purpose of rebranding the show and giving it the flexibility to be aired on other days apart from Fridays.
“Some international television stations want to broadcast the show on different days and the name ‘Thank God is Friday’ restricts the show to be aired only on Fridays. So we changed the name to allow flexibility in time” he said.
“Since we changed the name, the production crew thought it wise that we couldn’t only change the name and do the same old things. In view of that, we decided to add few more things to make it a standout and that’s what we have done to ‘The KSM Show’. Generally, you will see that it’s a step above TGIF” he added.
‘The KSM Show’ premieres on Metro TV this Friday October 11 at 8:00pm and will be repeated on Sunday at 1:00pm. The first guests on the show this Friday are highlife artiste George Darko and rapper Trigmatic. The two will be performing together with a live band on the show this Friday.
