Waterville and Austro Invest operated illegally in Ghana – Police Investigator
A Police investigator who appeared as a witness in the case involving Alfred Woyome and the State on Monday revealed that Waterville Holdings and Austro Invest had not been formally registered to operate in the country.
According to ASP Edward Odame, the Registrar General Department had no formal records of the operations of the two companies key in the payment of the controversial GHC 51 million judgement debt to business man, Alfred Woyome.
The Police Investigator, ASP Odame was being led in evidence by State Prosecutor, Mathew Amponsah at the Financial Division of the Accra Fast Track High Court in Accra on Tuesday.
The case presided over by Justice Ajet Nassam has been adjourned to November 6 and it is expected that counsel for Mr. Woyome , Osafo Buabeng will continue with his cross examination when the case resumes.
