NPP petitions CJ to investigate allegations against Nana Oye Lithur
The opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) has officially petitioned the Chief Justice to investigate allegations that Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur met with some Justices of the Supreme Court before the final ruling on the election petition.
The NPP in a statement expressed shock over the statements made by the dismissed Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah regarding the outcome of the case.
Victoria Hammah is alleged to have in a leaked tape stated that Nana Oye Lithur met with Justices of the Supreme Court before the judgement on the election petition.
The party filed the petition at the Supreme Court’s registry asking the Chief Justice to act on it expeditiously.
