B/A:Petty trader strangles baby to death

A 24- year- old Petty trader has been arrested by police for killing her 2 year old son at Kasapin in Asunafo North district in the Brong Ahafo Region.

According to an eye witness, Kwame Agyemang who spoke to Ark FM said the 24 year old lady by name Maa Abena went out to buy water with her children on Tuesday afternoon but they later head an announcement on a local information centre saying the lady has killed her 2 year old son.

Upon getting to the scene, it was discovered that Maa Abena used the piece of cloth in which she used to carry the child to strangle d him to death.

It is unclear what might have informed the woman to commit such bizarre incident but the residents there say they are still in shock over the matter.

The Asunafo District Police command has since begun investigations into the matter.
