Teacher arrested for possessing fake certificate

The head of Mathematics Department at the Boakye Tromo Senior High and Technical School in Duayaw Nkwanta in the Brong Ahafo has been picked up by police for possessing fake certificate.

Mr Samuel Yeboah who doubles as an Elder at the Church of Pentecost in Duayaw Nkwanta has been teaching for the past 5 years in the School with two fake certificates; HND in marketing from the Accra Polytechnic and First Degree in Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast.

Speaking with Ark fm the Headmaster of the School, George Awuah Junior said he got a tip -off from Wenchi Nkyera, where the Teacher was transferred from and also from the lower performance of the Students and most especially some of the attitudes of the Teacher.

According to the headmaster, he wrote a letter to the Academic affairs at the University of Cape Coast for verification of Elder Samuel’s certificate and the report he received reads ‘’our records do not indicate that Mr. Samuel Yeboah was ever a student of this University and we should be grateful if Mr. Yeboah is arrested to assist with investigations’’

He has since been arrested and will soon be arraign before court.
