AFCON 2015: Black stars gets a hero’s welcome.

The Black Stars were given a heroes welcome on Monday when they arrived from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.Despite the painful defeat to Ivory Coast at the finals of the Cup of Nations, the team received a warm reception from Ghanaian football public.

Hundreds of Ghanaian soccer fans trooped to catch a glimpse of the team on their arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

The delegation led by Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga and FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi touched down at exactly 2pm Ghana time.

Ghana lost 8-9 on penalties to the Ivory Coast at the finals of the 2015 Cup of Nations at the Estadio de Bata on Sunday.

The players are however expected to depart to their respective bases to rejoin their various Clubs.
