Andre Ayew out for two months
Ghanaian winger Andre Ayew is facing two months out after it was confirmed he requires surgery on a knee injury he suffered while playing for the Black Stars on Tuesday.
Ayew left Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Egypt in the 55th minute after he felt pain in his left knee. Marseille, on their official website said that Ayew has a slight tear in his knee.
The 23-year-old is scheduled to have an operation on Monday, after which it is estimated he will be sidelined for eight weeks. This comes as a big blow to Marseille, just when Ayew was beginning to find his form after a difficult start to the season.
