Ghanaian singer, Rebecca Acheampong, known on stage as Becca, has signed onto Kolophonic/Universal Music.
Management of the singer, revealed the deal Monday.
Kolophonic is the new pan-African record label established by international music A&R veteran Yoel Kenan, working with top producers and artistes across the continent.
As part of the Africori Music Group, Kolophonic provides services such as digital distribution and publishing to African artistes, labels and producers.
Yoel Kenan, in a statement, said “Right now, Africa is home to some of the most talented artistes and performers in the world. We are very excited to be working with one of the biggest artistes on the continent, Becca and [we] look forward to introducing her talent to a wider audience across Africa and internationally.”
Becca commenting on the partnership said, “I’m hugely excited to be joining Kolophonic. Their vision of providing my music with greater exposure around the world is really inspiring, not just for me but for African music as a whole. We’re making it happen right now!”
