Creation of Ahafo Region: Asutifi North DCE tours Communities

The Asutifi North District Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Adjei Mensah, has began touring communities in his district raising awareness about the creation of an Ahafo region. Of which a referendum is set to take place on the 27th of December 2018.

He visited the Chiefs and People of Obengkrom, Bogyampa, Donkorkrom, Kwahu, Mfa hu mfaka, Agyeikrom and Adukrom with the motive to educate them on the significance of this referendum.

The DCE told them to turn up in their numbers on the said date for the voting since there are conditions attached to the creation of Ahafo region which is to get 50 percent plus more concerning the total registered people and also 80 percent of the cast ballots must say yes to the creation of the region.

He appealed to them to spread the message to all community members.

He again said, parents must not allow their wards to travel for Christmas until the voting is over since if allowed to go, it will hugely affect Ahafo becoming region.

He urged all to help write their names in the history books of Ghana concerning the creation of the region.

Other speakers who accompanied the DCE took their turn to educate them to desist from introducing politics to the creation of Ahafo region since it will not help but rather bring doom to Ahafo land.

The Asutifi North District NCCE Boss, NPP Constituency Organizer, Former NDC Constituency Organizer were with the DCE to show that the campaign is devoid of politics.
